Firstly I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit my site but before you take a look at my portfolio maybe you will indulge me for a few moments to allow me to give you a little background on myself.
I had a brief flirtation with photography back when you would study for 'O' levels and CSEs so it was quite some time ago! Although it was a subject which I greatly enjoyed circumstances meant I drifted away from it. Time passes and with my more recent jobs I have been fortunate enough to travel our isles and realise just how beautiful and magnificent they are and how wonderful the wildlife surrounding us actually is. I have been as guilty as the next person in letting it wash over me and almost take it all for granted but there are times when you just need to stop, look and appreciate just what is actually there in front of you.
A few years ago I was driving along through Northamptonshire and caught a glimpse of what turned out to be a red kite over the fields alongside. Intrigued and fascinated I pulled over and stopped. The way it just soared effortlessly through the sky and over the surrounding fields was a sight to behold. And then I heard it calling.
That was it I was hooked!
At the time I was fortunate enough to be in that area almost everyday and as time went by they would become a daily sighting over an ever increasing area. Everyday became a pleasure as you were almost guaranteed to see them soaring above.
That was probably the one single thing that drew me back into photography although revisiting the Lake District after, what has to be said, was too many years away maybe had a big influence on me also. In any case that gave me a perfect excuse to indulge in another couple of passing interests of mine - motorsport and airshows.
